Description
We present natural oregano hydrolate for animals, obtained from the leaf surface of the plant of the species Origanum vulgare. In international practice, the product is designated as Oregano natural hydrolate for animals. The species is classified in the Lamiaceae family, and the raw material comes from plantations on arable Bulgarian land. The natural method of cultivation protects the field from external substances, and therefore the finished liquid retains a pure plant composition, without preservatives and without colorants. Steam extraction preserves the purity of the aromatic picture and links the method to the final character of the liquid, which comes from the very leaves of the plant. The leaves set the color tone of the finished liquid from colorless to slightly yellowish. The strength of the aroma reaches a high level. The spicy, herbal and bitter tones shape the aromatic character of the distillate. The product fully retains its liquid form. The peltate glandular trichomes on the leaves hold the volatile fraction and give the raw material a dense aromatic character and a high strength of the scent itself. The glandular cells bear a common cuticle, and the secretion comes out when it ruptures. Carvacrol and thymol stand at the top of the phenolic monoterpenes of the species, followed by cymene and terpinene. The species gives rise to several chemotypes, and linalool and linalyl acetate are present in the acyclic one. In addition, the natural field and the pure composition of the distillate are related, since only agents of plant origin are used in cultivation. It is precisely the leaf source that determines the light tone and the strong scent of the liquid. The final distillate brings together a strong scent, a light tone and a composition of plant material without additives.
Application
Oregano hydrolate obtained from the leaves by steam distillation is a refreshing ingredient suitable for pet care with a spicy and herbal character. It is used in coat sprays that impart freshness and natural shine, in solutions for soothing irritated skin in four-legged friends and in shampoos with a pronounced herbal nuance. It is added to paw care formulas after walks, to which it imparts a strong and authentic note, as well as to solutions for freshening kennels and cages. It is also suitable for textile sprays for pet beds, where it adds character without aggressive action. It is used in creating cleaning wipes and care balms for dogs and cats, in which the natural origin emphasizes the quality of the care. Thanks to its strong herbal profile, it is a preferred choice for formulas seeking an expressive and well-tolerated effect.
